Proprietor Sean Hofherr's meat pedigree is embedded in his bones. It began in the late 1800s with his great-great-grandfather, a village butcher in Germany, who immigrated to America and established the renowned meat packing business Hofherr Meat Company on Chicago's South Side. Driven by his genetic makeup and a reverence for his family's lineage, Sean re-established Hofherr Meat Co. in 2014 at its present location in Northfield, IL.
At his side, at home and at work, is his wife, Arielle Hofherr, who manages the business operations of HMCo. In addition to an array of meat, they offer traditional deli counter services, a floor-to-ceiling rotisserie oven, frozen and refrigerated prepared dishes, along with a wide array of catering options.
Together with the rest of the HMCo. team, Sean and Arielle offer true professionalism in their craft. They strive to provide their customers with a bright, comfortable, and inviting shopping atmosphere.
